Lab Philosophy
The Blanco-Suárez Lab
...is committed to do rigorous and collaborative science.
...supports the scientific development of lab members at any stage.
...encourages and promotes open dialogue and a healthy work environment.
...upholds Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility values.
...does not tolerate bigotry.
The Blanco-Suárez lab is committed to do rigorous and quality science and working towards a better understanding of the Central Nervous System in health and disease.
We want to do this by attracting committed scientists at various stages of their training and from diverse backgrounds, fostering collaborations and developing strong mentoring relationships.
Failure and frustration are important steps in the process that we need to acknowledge and learn from. We are dedicated to making science accessible and inclusive while mentoring and training the next generation of neuroscientists on doing open, inclusive, and honest science.
At the top of our list of priorities is to promptly address trainees needs and help them achieve their career goals, whatever those may be. We strongly encourage communication, organization, motivation, and commitment to help everyone succeed.
We believe that promoting a healthy work environment where everyone feels accomplished and happy is the best recipe to do science of the highest quality.
